Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Mesh World ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Mesh World mobile app, our website (meshworld.org), and our products. Mesh World is built around private, off-grid communication — collecting as little as possible is part of the product philosophy.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and the username you choose.

Content you create. If you use the app's online features, messages, waypoints, routes, and group information you create are stored on our servers so they can sync across your devices and group. Communication sent purely over your mesh radios travels device to device and does not pass through our servers.

Location data. With your permission, the app uses your device's location to show your position on the map and — only when you enable sharing — to share it with the group you choose. You can stop sharing at any time.

Diagnostics. The app collects crash and diagnostic logs (such as app version, platform, OS version, and error logs) to help us fix problems.

Purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple, Google, and our subscription provider. We receive purchase status, not your payment details. Store orders on our website are processed by Shopify.

Website forms. If you contact us, request a network design, or join our email list, we collect the information you submit (such as your name and email address).

We use the information above to:

• Provide and operate the app, including syncing your content and groups
• Respond to support requests and design inquiries
• Fix bugs and improve reliability
• Process purchases and subscriptions
• Send emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time)

We do not sell your personal information.

Messages sent over your mesh network are encrypted. Your mesh network belongs to you — off-grid radio traffic stays within your group's devices and is not visible to us.

We rely on a small set of providers to run Mesh World: cloud database and authentication (Supabase), subscription management, app stores (Apple, Google), e-commerce (Shopify), and email (for messages you opt into). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app's settings, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us — we'll process requests promptly.

Mesh World is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
